Ahh Hinoto-Ri. City of lights, questionable wards, the 13th Hour and Personas.

SCENARIO 1
We hope you arrived in warm clothing because if not you'll sure be in for a surprise!

Hinoto-Ri is covered in snow! First you show up in a strange new place and now you're freezing cold. Maybe it's just a dream? But...you remember the man who said you were here as a special guest...don't you? Is this the city you're supposed to save?

SCENARIO 2
But tonight, there's a very old time feeling. That's right, there's a party!

It seems some demons got their hands on older musical classics. As you walk the streets tonight, you'll find the city getting into it, complete with outfits and dancing demons.

...what a way to first show up. But is this just a dream? You remember the man who said you were here as a special guest...don't you? You just hope he didn't mean some sort of dancing contest...

"No, truly, I do not wish to dance," a young woman in ornate dress that's definitely not made for this kind of weather says as she works her hand free from one of the more elf-like demons out dancing tonight.

Goddesses above, where in the world is she? The chill is all too familiar (she'll never forget how cold it became in Zora's Domain), but everything else - from the music to the populace to the very buildings themselves - is strange to one Hylian princess.

One thing that might not seem strange to the Hylian princess is a certain pointy-eared kid in green.

(He chose to wear his tunic tonight because it's cold and also demons everywhere.)

He may grab her attention considering he's staring at her.

Oh yes, with seven years of training under her belt, she knows very well when she's being watched. Of course, the most surprising part is when she makes eye-contact with the one who's doing the watching.

"L... Link?" she stammers out, though if her mild stuttering is because of the cold or something else is anyone's guess.

"...Zelda?"

There's something...different about her. Besides the fancy dress.

... Something isn't right here. Yes, this boy certainly looks like the Hero of Time, wears the Hero's clothes, but... everything is so subtly off.

Stepping forward now, squinting against the chill and to get a more focused look at him. "You... Who are you?"

"I'm Link," he says, mirroring her movements. "Are... You're not Zelda, are you? My Zelda?"

Okay, no. "Her" Link would never refer to her in such a way (at least, she would think he wouldn't). Her expression becomes wary - her posture, guarded.

"I am Princess Zelda of Hyrule... and you are not the Hero of Time."

Boy, you've got some 'splainin' to do.

"Princess Zelda of Hyrule...Hero of Time... What are you talking about?"

Naw ma'am you've got some 'splainin' to do.

--wait

"Do you know...another Link? Who's, um...different...than me?"

Eying. Eying so hard.

"Link is the Hero of Time. You... do look a bit like him, but not entirely."

What the hell is going on.

"That's...that's him! He's here! Your Link is here!"

Link touches something behind his ear, summoning a strange pair of glasses from seemingly nowhere.

"Link!" he calls out. "I think your Zelda's here!"

There isn't a response for a moment - and then Link comes barreling down the street, kicking up snow in his wake.

He stops, skidding a bit, and stares at Zelda, breathing hard.

"P... Princess..."

"What...?"

No, seriously, that's all she can say as the Link-but-not-Link seemingly speaks into a spontaneously appearing pair of spectacles. Perhaps this boy is not as familiar as she thought he might be, and she's about to leave before things get even stranger...

... when she hears that voice.

She turns, eyes wide, the catching of her own breath made obvious by the cold.

"H... How...?"

"He came here the same time I did," he says helpfully. "I think he's from a different time."

"But you're dressed for the occasion," says a deep voice behind her. "Perhaps that wasn't the dance partner you were looking for."

She jumps a bit at the strange voice, quickly turning to face its owner.

"Hardly," she replies, not seeming at all amused with the situation. "I do not dance."

"That's a shame," Haruka says. "A beautiful girl like yourself would look graceful on the dance floor."

... Eh?

"We are of differing minds on that matter, then. Dancing has never suited me."

Well, no, the truth is that she's forgotten how after years of camping out, but like hell is she telling someone she just met that.

Haruka seems mildly surprised.

"Ah. You're dressed like a princess, so I thought differently."

H-Haruka, that's...that's because...

"That would be because I am a princess. I am Princess Zelda of Hyrule," she says just a little bit flatly. "Contrary to popular belief, not all princesses possess the same qualities as those found in fairytales."

You should know, Haruka. Your princess is hardly the most traditional around.

Haruka chuckles.

"I'm more aware of that than you think."

Boom.

... What a strange person.

"So you understand that a pretty dress is hardly indicative of the person wearing it."

Zelda, Princess of Destiny, Leader of the Sages, and Sealer of the Evil King... really does not understand flirting.

"Perhaps not, but it is flattering, nonetheless."

Dammit Zelda she will continue flirting with you until she is blue in the face! >(

"... Well. Thank you, in that case."

HOW DOES SHE ROMANCE, THOUGH...

Haruka smiles, as if the pleasure is all hers. Because it is, just looking at Zelda~

"Forgive my rudeness. My name is Haruka Tenou."

... She has never seen someone so self-satisfied over seemingly nothing. Huh.

"It is a... pleasure to meet you, Haruka." Though she sounds more than a bit unsure about that wording. "If only the circumstances were less strange."
